Imperial River History
This piece measures 7' x 12' x 18". It was purchased by the City Of Bonita Springs and installed in City Hall.
The background is a bas-relief map of the Imperial River. Google Earth was used to map out the area.
The sculptures are all based on photos collected by the Bonita Springs Historical Society.
The piece mixes historical fact, tales from old-timers, rumors, artistic embellishments, total B.S., and a lot of humor.
Subjects were chosen simply by whether I liked the photo or not. There was little-to-no thought given to historical importance.
